5th Graders! It's time to start thinking about Middle School! Mrs. Beeson and I encourage all 5th graders to select a performing ensemble to participate in for 6th grade. This includes chorus, band, or orchestra. Remember, you can only choose one! Don't miss out on a great opportunity to be a performer and continue growing as a great musician!
Recorders
Recorders for Sale!
Part of the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade music curriculum includes playing recorders in class. Recorders are woodwind instruments and are usually made out of plastic. By playing the recorder, students will learn how to read music and play simple melodies both alone and with a class ensemble. Recorder units are very exciting and students love to experience the thrill of playing a musical instrument! Students may want to purchase a folder to keep their music organized.
5th Graders are currently playing recorders in music class. If your student does not have a recorder, they can purchase one for $5.00 from Beach. I will send home a quick email to parents if your student forgets their recorder on a regular basis.
We will have our annual "Recorder and Pizza Night" event on April 26 at 6pm in the BES gym. This event is open to any 5th grader. Come here song we have been working on in class.
